Old Windsor F.C create history as first and reserves teams set to meet in League Cup Final

Old Windsor Football Club will create history in the East Berkshire League when the League Cup Final will be a clash between the first and reserve teams on Monday 5 May.
The Arbour Park Stadium in Slough will be draped in black and red colours as Old Windsor compete in the first-ever one-club Final after both sides were successful in their Semi Finals matches on Saturday.
League Cup Semi Finals Day took place at Eton Wick F.C & Social Club and the reserves were the first to book a spot in the Final with a 3-0 win against A.F.C Reading.
Mark Walker scored a goal either side of half-time and Connor Clemens added a third as Old Windsor Reserves beat opposition from the Premier Division in a cup competition match for the third time this season, and the second time en route to the League Cup Final.
The Old Windsor first team are looking to retain the famous silverware and make progress into the Final with a 1-0 victory over F.C. Baylis United in the second Semi Finals game. A Harry Farnan strike inside the opening 15 minutes of the contest was the difference between the two sides.

Langley Reserves have ended a five-match winless streak in all competitions with a 4-1 success against Chalvey Sports in the Premier Division.
The Merrymakers can boast four different goals scorers at Kedermister Park; George Flynn, Owen McCarthy, Troy Whyte and substitute Pardeep Khanke all hit the back of the net as the home side secured a first win in more than two months. A consolation effort from James Kalinsi is all that Chalvey have to show from their short trip across Slough.
F.C. Bracknell extended their lead at the top of Division One to four points after a 10-0 thrashing of HKRG United at Ryeish Green Sports Hub. The goals were shared around the visiting team with Callum Cobb, Zubin Khaliq and Tommy Rydell-Board all bagging a brace in the success. The other goals scorers were player-manager Bailey Gandolfi, Luke Garton, Jake Cook and substitute Ben Clarke.
Slough Heating Laurencians Reserves now have two games in hand to close the four-points gap on F.C. Bracknell but, thanks to this most recent resounding victory, the league leaders do have a far superior goals difference which could become a factor in deterring the eventual champions.
The race for promotion could go right down to the wire this season with Reading-based rivals Prospect F.C and Hype Train set to clash at Calcot Recreation Ground this Wednesday night (6pm kick off).

And, Caversham United climbed back up into the top four in the table with a 3-0 win against Taplow United Swans last weekend. A goal from Cameron Clark gave The Billygoats a lead inside four minutes at Mapledurham Playing Fields, before Bevan Van Wyk found a route to goal either side of the break to secure three crucial points.
Slough Heating Laurencians Reserves are still on course for a remarkable league and cup double this season after a 2-1 victory over Bracknell Aces saw them reach the Semi Finals stage in the Ascot & Fielden District Charity Cup.
Goals from John Brennan and Brandon Cooper earned The Lauries an important win at Ringmead, and the Slough-based side will now meet Old Windsor Reserves for a place in the Final.
Ciaran McNamara hit the back of the net for Bracknell, but his side suffered a first defeat in five games.
