PICTURE: Old Windsor first team, pictured here receiving the Premier Division trophy as a part of their treble-winning season last year, have now played more than seven-and-a-half hours of league football without conceding a single goal.
Three teams went two-from-two in the East Berkshire League Premier Division on Saturday including defending champions, Old Windsor, and last season’s runners-up, Frontline.
Old Windsor backed up a high-scoring win on the opening weekend with an equally impressive 5-0 victory against F.C Baylis United. There were five different goals scorers; Jude Van Spell and Dylan Harbridge giving the hosts a clear lead in the first half before Lewis Corney, Joseph Allen and James Walton completed the rout at Old Windsor Recreation Ground.
The Old Windsor defence has been impenetrable ever since the end of the last campaign with no goals conceded in each of their last five league matches - now over seven-and-a-half hours of Premier Division football. The last team to breach the Os defence in a league game was Chalvey Sports (Reserves) back on 24 April.
The defending champions have also hit the back of the net 32 times without reply during those five games, with in-form midfielder Corney scoring five goals. Striker, Allen, and centre back Chris Tierney have four goals apiece.
Frontline are currently and narrowly out-scoring their title rivals thanks to a 7-3 success over Sandhurst Royals, the home side tasting defeat for the first time this season having started the campaign with consecutive wins.
Imran Kassim was the destroyer-in-chief for the visitors to Sandhurst Memorial Park with his four-goals haul whilst Sayyid Saleh scored twice. Okba Bassaid also found a route to goal. Isaac Ababio bagged a brace for Sandhurst with Jordan Whiteley also on target.

Britwell are the third side to maintain a perfect winning record in the top flight after a 6-0 win at Cookham Dean, the third time in a row that Cookham have conceded six goals without reply.
George Dewhuest led the rout for the visitors to the Alfred Major Recreation Ground with a hat-trick, while both George Dawson-Clark and Alfie Keeler also hit the back of the net.
AFC Reading lost their unbeaten start to the new season after a 4-0 defeat at the hands of Langley Reserves at the Berkshire County Sports Club. Owen McCarthy scored all four goals to ensure Langley registered their first victory since returning to the E.B.F.L in the summer.
Hype Train continue to set a blistering pace at the top the table in Division One after a 4-3 win against Real Saracens at Waingels College. The Train were out in the clear at the break thanks to goals from Phil Newport, Mitchell Saunders and Nadim Gharabli. Newport scored again in the second half to make sure of the points after Saracens had got themselves back into the match with Ibrahim Cruz scoring twice and Hassan Zishan also on target.
Slough Heating Laurencians Reserves regained the winning thread thanks to a 7-1 thrashing of Prospect F.C. Both Alfie Jago and Callum Stanley scored hat-tricks in the success, with Ramari Mayers adding another goal to put Slough Heating in seven heaven at The Polish Club. Kacper Sek scored a consolation goal for the visitors from Reading.
FC Bracknell kept their third clean sheet in succession when winning 4-0 at Barton Rovers, the home team unfortunately starting the season with back-to-back defeats. There were four different goals scorers for the visitors to Theale Green School including the red-hot Calvin Grainger and Bracken-Kenny Sharp. Player-manager Bailey Gandolfi also hit the back of the net along with substitute Ethan Callaway.
PICTURE: Hype Train have won in all four of their matches in E.B.F.L Division One so far this season to stand at the top of the table and with a three points lead on the chasing pack.
Caversham United made a small piece of club history when winning in their first-ever home league fixture, a 4-1 success over Eton Wick. Christian Opoku-Osei scored either side of the break at The Atrium Health Club. Ross Blakemore was on target in the first period and substitute Lucas Shaffner added a fourth goal in the second half. Eton Wick pulled one back through Orren Oliver with 15 minutes still to play but it was not enough to prevent his side from falling to a third straight defeat.
Clifford Gyamfi bagged a brace to ensure Berks Elite beat Taplow United Swans 2-0 at Popes Field, the Reading-based side now two-from-two this season and still to concede a goal.
Old Windsor Reserves have suffered back-to-back defeats in the league for the first time since February 2023 after falling 7-3 to Bracknell Aces - the newcomers creating history at the club with a first victory in the league. Alfie Harris was the chief destroyer for the Aces with his four goals haul while Bailey Hall came off the substitutes bench to bag a hat-trick. Liam Spires and Sean Blandford were both on target for the losing side at Ringmead.
